(born November 23, 1981 in Saitama Prefecture) is a Japanese former professional racing cyclist. After beginning cycling at Hatoyama High School, he attended the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya before becoming a professional in 2004. Shimizu is in general considered an all-rounder.
